Vasant Ritucharya

In Vasant rutu, shleshma (cough) accumulated in Shishir rutu in body starts melting that destroys agni (digestive fire) and produces number of diseases. Thus, in vasant rutu, this excessive shleshma needs to be extracted. Tikshna vaman (Strong classical emesis) and tikshna nasya (Strong nasal inhalation) should be used for evacuation of increased kapha.

Laghu(easy to digest) and ruksha(dry) food should be consumed.In meal, one should consume old yava (Hordeum vulgare Linn.), Godhum (Triticum vulgare Linn.), madhu (honey), Jangal mans (cooked, hooked meat on iron rod of animals residing in dry place).

Heart strengthening ripen Amra (Mangifera indica Linn/ Mangoes) containing Aasav ,arishta, sidhu, Mardvik (Alcoholic preparations) should be consumed with friends. Cooked aadrak (Zinziber officinale Rosc.), Sarambu (Pterocarpus marsupium Roxb.), honey mixed water or Musta (Cyperus rotundus Linn.) cooked water should be consumed.

Vyayam, ubatan, aaghat (Massage with legs) should be done in order to pacify the increased kapha. After snan, one should do lepa of Aguru (Aquilaria agallocha Roxb.), Karpur (Cinnamomum camphora),Chandan (Santalum album Linn), Kumkum(Crocus sativus Linn).

The forest that is cooled with air from south direction, that has water flowing from all sides, fairly dense that sunrays touches the ground at very few places so that it seems like the ground has jewel flooring in which cuckoo chirps, ground is favourable for sex, which consist of varieties of trees and flowers whose fragrance spreads everywhere.
